Fili was bleeding heavily from his chest, and his body hurt everywhere, but at least the monsters were gone and Lane was safe - or so Fili thought. With a painful, shuddering breath, Fili sat up and slowly pressed a short, meaningful kiss to Lane’s lips. He knew he could have never made Lane as happy as Allen could have, hell, he didn’t even know if Lane felt a fraction of the love Fili held for him; but by this point, it didn’t really matter. With the rate his blood flowed through his wounds, Fili was honestly surprised he was still alive. However, the adrenaline continued to die down as Fili kept his gaze on Lane, both of his bloodied hands moving to get a weak grip on the brunette to keep from falling over. As Lane just opened his mouth to speak, something happened: his eyes seemed to change as his expression twisted into an evil smirk. Realization hit Fili, anger filling him up. ”Alastor,” Fili hissed. Everything had made sense now. What better of a way for a demon to kill off its victim’s loved ones, than to take possession of its victim? Fili gasped in pain again, finding it even harder to form the energy to stay up the way he was. But Fili knew he had to try to stay awake, and with a few hard blinks, he briefly caught sight of something in Alastor’s hand. It was the blade Fili had been using. The last thing Fili saw was the cruel smirk of the man he loved, before he felt another, even stronger twist of pain, and everything went dark. Alastor had claimed another victim.
