Funding for the third world is difficult. People in the developed world have difficulty understanding what it is like to live in a place where you have to walk miles every day to the nearst water source. We dont know what it is like to go hungry.
Our Internet connection breaks and we are exacerbated. Our train is late and we are in a bad mood. There are a thousand niggeling aspects of life in the developed world which we pass off as a problem. But the truth is that those in the developing world have only one problem. Survival.
When you dont know when you will eat again, that is a problem. When you dont know if you will live beyond the age of five, that is a problem. We are all well enough but find reasons not to be. When we are asked how we are there should be only one response.
It is because our problems are only minor that we should turn our attentions to those who have bigger problems than non-organic food being sold out and nothing good being on TV.
Because when we think about our lives in comparrison to others, we are truly blessed
