a random musing about ian/barbara:

i love how quietly canon it is. watching the show you can see how they feel about each other and how close they are but doctor who is not about romance and never has been. then the eu clarifies what we all already knew. and as far as i’m aware them getting married after travelling with the doctor is something consistent throughout all, if not most, media which feels like a rarity.

i don’t know there’s just something beautiful about how their love story doesn’t need to be shouted from the rooftops. just two friends slowly falling in love.
