Alright this is going to be a lot of rambling but I have to talk about this.

Everyone is saying it and I'll say it again, Alex Jeffrey Pretti was unlawfully executed by ICE, in other words, murder. And considering he and Renée Nicole Good were both US citizens, what ICE did should be considered, even by conservative estimates, treason. I personally have always considered ICE to be Gestapo-level criminals but even a right-wing Trump supporter should IDEALLY be angry with ICE right now.

And what l'm so especially angry about is not just the fact that another innocent life had been cruelly taken away, it is the fact that so many people, specifically those who preached far and wide about the second amendment and unrestrained gun laws despite multiple mass shootings, are only further proving how pathetic they are. I repeat, MULTIPLE shootings, hundreds of deaths due to someone who should have never owned a gun ever, and the moment many, particularly right-aligned pro-gun supporters say "He shouldn't have been armed in the first place!" is when Alex Pretti, who never pulled out his gun by the way and had a permit to openly carry a firearm, textbook second amendment rights, was assaulted and murdered by ICE thugs while protecting a woman.

Worst part is, this isn't new. So many people are treating politics like it's a sports game. Hell, Trump campaigned on the promise to release the Epstein Files and his supporters were so excited, ready to prosecute all these pedophiles and anyone else who profited off of Epstein's pedo ring. But the moment MAGA and others' favourite politicians showed up in the files they are suddenly going "Oh there wasn't actually anything in the files 😌” The two party system is a joke and has destroyed so many people's sense of nuance and critical thought.

Saying "Oh Alex Pretti shouldn't have had a gun, it's his fault" is so insulting not just to Pretti of course, but to everyone else who had been victimised and killed due to the wide availability of guns. It also just shows who the second amendment actually applies to according to this logic. It just screams, "I don't care if school shooters are murdering children and teachers in their classrooms, but if ONE GUY has his gun in his holster near my precious minority kidnappers...!"

Fuck that shit. Fuck Trump. Fuck ICE. Fuck anyone who supports this tyranny.

RIP Renée Good, Alex Pretti, and so many more.
