What you thought I'd stopped with these? Nah, just took a break for a couple of weeks when it started to feel a little overwhelming. For a little while, I've wanted to try ice dyeing - basically you cover a piece of fabric in ice cubes, sprinkle on the dye and as the ice melts, it carries the dye through the fabric. Trying it on a small piece that I'd like to embroider to start with. Will it come out 'cedar red' like the packet describes or a lot pinker? Will the precariously balanced rack topple into the bucket and ruin all of my careful prep? Will I put some of the leftover ice cubes into my wine? Only time will tell.
