The Christmas Couple were already an item, and Ichimatsu is established to have literally zero confidence in himself as a romantic interest, so I’m sure they have to make the first move, and not the other way around.
Who said “I love you” first;
The couple, definitely.
Ichimatsu could never work up the nerve to do it first, but once they’ve told him, he’ll tell them plenty often.
How often do they fight;
Practically never.
Ichimatsu is definitely a very respectful partner and would hate himself for causing the slightest upset, and the Christmas Couple appreciate his company and consider him too modest and humble for his own good.
That said, they would appreciate it if he stopped bringing mice into the house.
Who is “Big Spoon” and “Little Spoon”;
At first, Ichi was very, VERY anxious about anything as intimate as sharing a futon, as the couple already have been doing.
Even so, he has a terribly hard time sleeping alone in a spare futon, after a lifetime of sleeping in the company of other people.
After lots of gentle coaxing and insisting it’s alright, while obviously respecting his sense of pace, Ichi settles into being the middle spoon, and has slept like a baby ever since.
What their nicknames for each other are;
The couple’s nicknames for each other are mostly simple, common things like “Sweetie, honey, dear, etc.”
Having nicknames for Ichi is pretty difficult, considering how he’ll, yknow, burst into flames at any particularly strong show of affection, but he soon enough becomes accustomed to being called “Kitty, Our Kitten,” and variations of those.
Ichimatsu mostly refers to them as “you guys,” but occasionally cover up his face and call them “you beautiful people, you kindhearted hosts,” and stuff of that nature.
Who is the better cook;
The couple are pretty good at cooking for themselves, and although Ichi doesn’t want to be waited on hand and foot, he’s afraid to make something in the event they don’t like it.
So they’ve settled on a fair enough arrangement where the couple take turns making the food, and Ichi is always responsible for juices, teas, and coffee.
He makes coffee particularly lovingly, and makes little foam and cream arts for them, almost all cats or hearts.
Their song;
They really don’t have one, although Ichi likes for them to tell him that rhyme that goes, “Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur”
Who remembers their anniversaries;
They all do, very dutifully.
Ichi would never forgive himself for forgetting things like anniversaries, no matter how okay the couple would be with it. It’s just how he is.
Their favorite thing to do together;
They usually don’t get up to anything too fancy or daring, and Ichi hates to think he’s asking too much of them.
So I’d say their favorite thing to do is just curl up on a lazy day and watch tv, as the couple take turns petting Ichi who purrs contentedly.
Who “wears the pants” in the relationship;
The couple calls the shots, it being their house, and Ichi refusing to take any kind of leadership in the event that he upsets them.
Still, they try at every chance they get to hear his say, even if they know it’ll always be “I-I don’t know, let’s just do what you want, please!!”
How they would get engaged;
They can’t really get engaged to be married, but I can twist this question around a bit so it can still be answered.
Rather than engaging to be married, I’ll answer how the couple proposed that Ichi moved in with them, after they’d all already been going steady for a while.
In my Ichiot3 headcanon, Ichi really doesn’t want to be “just a greedy housecat to you guys,” but the couple don’t want him to stress himself out in a job he won’t like either. So he takes up a cushy little part-time job at a cat café, where he’s surrounded by the animals he loves so much, and only occasionally has to deal with real customers.
So it’d be another night in the café, Ichi’s closing up shop, cleaning up, making sure to leave out any midnight snacks for the cats, when the couple come to pick him up and drive him back to the Matsuno house as usual.
They’re about halfway to the house, when they mutually propose to Ichi that he move in with them.
Cue Ichi having a massive modesty attack in the backseat, nervously stammering about how he’d love to provided his parents agreed, and he swears he’s not just making that up to get out of living with them, he’d really love to if that’s what they really want, although they probably wouldn’t because he’s a piece of shit person, yadda yadda yadda.
But eventually he calls them up a few days later to say it’s all okay with everyone else, and “you can still back out now, you know…” but they really do take him in, and they really are one happy, loving unit.
What their wedding would be like;
They can’t have a three-way marriage, but I’m sure they’d have a little ceremony of their own, and Ichi would be a blushing, appreciative mess all the same.
Rather than a wedding, it’s basically them taking him out to KFC on the first anniversary of their being a unit, and even then Ichi still thinks it’s more than he deserves.
How many kids they’ll have;
One, considering the Christmas Couple’s cameo where the woman was pregnant.
They have a little girl and Ichimatsu will guard her with his goddamn life.
