What happens if an "Icon" dies?

Theres another image that tumblr wont let me send because of the 10 image limit so ignore the awkwardness of the last slide, yeah?

They’re immortal basically unless their forms get busted badly. They’re meant to last and continue to bring memories to the real world. And if they cant do that anymore then they’ll just retire in the fiction world but will still be remembered.

But if they do get hurt. The gaming icons or characters will just respawn at their spawn point (they can choose where) but a toon icon or character will kinda just explode into a splash of ink. Like black ink.

Some may have toon logic so it wont affect them as much but for toons with a more serious writing style, their damaged parts will bleed black ink and if they’re fully hurt and actually result to ‘death’, they’ll have to go through a stage of recovery. It’ll take days depending on the character.

So in my Icons Au, this is basically how the characters met and bonded between borders. Of course, later on in the future, the border isn’t there anymore, obviously someone broke it but we’ll just put that aside and enjoy the friendship we have right here.

A running issue with Sonic and SpongeBob is that SpongeBob takes cooking too seriously.

I know Sonic debuted earlier than SpongeBob so technically he’s older but canon wise, Sonic is younger. SpongeBob had a job and is hinted to be in his late 30s or 40s.

I like to make their dynamic a protective younger sibling and kind hearted older sibling.

The only dynamic i can think off right now that is similar is Gihun and Sangwoo. If I’m bot mistaken, Gihun is the oldest and Sangwoo is the youngest.

This is my au, I’m planning on calling it icon au. Not origional but its simple for me to remember 👌
