PSA: on ID network
'Quiet on Set' Ex-Kid Actors Did Not Agree to Investigation Discovery
Raquel Lee Bolleau and Alexa Nikolas say they didn't know ID would be involved in the docuseries; say their stories deserved “a more serious
In an investigation from IndieWire corroborated by other “Quiet on Set” participants, the women describe a strategic “silo-ing” process they say they experienced before, during, and after production on the docuseries. Keeping interview subjects in the dark, Nikolas and Lee Bolleau believe, created a “manufactured consent” that stopped them from understanding the full scope of the project — including its network affiliations. They say it further prevented them for preparing for the impact the mega-hit program would have on their lives.
Produced by Business Insider and Maxine Productions with Sony Pictures Television, “Quiet on Set” netted 1.25 billion viewing minutes the week of its premiere between March 18 and 25; it is now the most-watched title for Max ever reported by Nielsen. Episodes aired at primetime on Investigation Discovery before streaming next day on Max and Discovery+.
The very last network that should have anything to do with reporting on child abuse in the industry, are groups, who themselves have sanctioned child SEX abuse. That would definitely be Sony and Warner Bros Discovery.
LOUD AFTER THE SET
Two “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” participants claim they did not know the docuseries was being made for Investigation Discovery, and said they would not have agreed to interviews if they did.
“I’m not too familiar with ID, but for the interview I sat down for, it was not an appropriate network for the show,” former “The Amanda Show” actress Raquel Lee Bolleau told IndieWire. “I had no clue it was on [ID] until one or two weeks before it aired.”
I’m watching my new favorite show Homicide Hunter: Joe Kenda on Investigation Discovery. :D

ID is the best! My favorite network. What are your favorite shows? I love A Crime to Remember, Homicide Hunter (young Kenda is a babe), Vanity Fair Confidential and Murder Comes to Town.
right? it’s so weirdly addicting!
a crime to remember and vanity fair confidential are probably some of the best imo. i also really like on the case with paula zahn and true crime with aphrodite jones because i feel like they are a little more respectful of the victims. also, i watch a lot of that fatal vows show. but mostly because that one just always seems to be on. the sheer number of marriages that end in murder is super disturbing.
i’ve tried to watch homicide hunter but the present day real life kenda grates on me for some reason. i feel like he really loves the sound of his own voice.
i don’t know why i’m so addicted to these shows. they’re morbid and some of them feel horribly uncomfortably intrusive and disrespectful. but they’re fascinating. i don’t know why. i blame my grandmother, personally. she started this all. she’s the true crime lover in the family and she got all of her kids hooked and then my mom got me hooked.
