Summary: EVERYONE IS A BOOGEYMAN.
I don’t have a name, and there’s some tiny kinks I have to work out so I’m open to suggestions!
Everyone has 5 lives and at least 20 hearts (or some number over 10).
At the start of each session, every player is assigned someone else they have to kill, and a specific method they have to kill them by (so deaths aren’t repetitive.)
If you manage to kill the person you’re assigned in the method you are given, you gain a life and are restored to full health. If you aren’t able to kill them by the end of the session, you fail and lose hearts. (The amount you lose increasing with each session.)
If you are low on hearts, you will be left with one.
Hearts are able to regen, but once you lose a row, it’s gone for good. You can only gain back lost hearts from killing your assigned target.
If you die to your assassin, you fail and can no longer hunt the person you’re assigned.
If you die by pure chance (falling, Creeper Explosion, etc) you are still allowed to hunt your assigned player
If the player assigned to you manages to kill you in your attempt to kill them, you fail and can no longer hunt them. They do not gain a life from this since you aren’t their assigned target.
These rules allow to Greens and Yellows. If a player is Red, they are only assigned a method, allowing them to target anyone and everyone.
If someone dies to a Red, they are still allowed to hunt the person they are assigned.
If a Red fails to kill anyone by the end of the session, they still lose hearts.
Greens and Yellows will not be assigned a Red.
The only expectation is if one person is Green or Yellow while the rest of the server is Red. If there are two Greens/Yellows, they are assigned each other.
The max amount of lives someone can gain is 7.
If someone has 7 lives, instead of being assigned someone to kill, they are assigned someone to assist, meaning they have to help that person kill their target.
The person with the target HAS to be the one who causes the death. If the assistant does it, the death will not count and they both fail. The target is still allowed to hunt.
If the assistant is killed by their assassin, they can still help their assigned person.
If the assistant and the killer manage to kill the target correctly, the killer gains a life while the assistant is restored to full health. They can also potentially gain items.
That’s the idea! Thinking this up was pretty fun! I thought about it while watching Wild Life but I’m open to suggestions for any holes I missed.
Edit: Just thought of some holes in the assignment system!
If someone kills their target, but is later killed by their assassin, they do not fail but they still lose the life.
Assassins will NEVER be assigned to their assistants.
