When the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987) was introduced to Japan in May of 1991, it debuted under the title アイドル忍者タートルズ which translates to Idol Ninja Turtles. And now I’m laughing because I just picture them doing a Coming Out of Their Shells type tour in Japan but in Japanese idol group format. They changed the title to ミュータントタートルズ (Mutant Turtles) in 1993.
I don't know about you, but I just want to watch Kingdom and afterwards be like, "yes I enjoyed every single minute of this show". That is just not the case, because I feel like on several occasions that the show is unfair. This is not from a biased perspective, because I adore each group and what they bring to this show.
Throughout this tv ("survival") show I've noticed how unprepared or willing Mnet is to actually sit down and learn how they can shoot each group's performance the best. I was really disappointed with how they filmed The Boyz performance today and how they did not let every member shine even when they sang. Kevin has not (performance wise) had his time to shine yet and then finally we have Kevin about to do an impressive "stunt" (I don't know what else to call it haha) and they don't even put focus on him???? Like why? It irritates me so much....
I know this is a competition, but I always skip the last part because it hurts to watch their disappointed faces. Why, why does it have to be like this? I would much rather watch a show where a bunch of groups get together and have a chance to show performances they normally can't and see how they form friendships than clips of Inseong crying because he made a mistake with a high note..
I hope you understand me. English isn’t my first language

Tenya Iida is a fan of idol groups, and you can’t tell me otherwise. When he can, he totally goes to concerts with a headband and glow sticks. Nope, you can’t take this bad headcanon away from me. It’s mine.
Hi, puts! Do you know if non-idol groups like Kalafina tend to be subject to 恋愛禁止, whether contractual or implied, like idol groups often are? Sorry if this question is too off topic!
Hiya! *waves*
Don’t worry, the question is not too off-topic. I feel like this is something we have all thought about at some point or another.
For those of you who don’t know what “恋愛禁止“ means, it is basically an agency forbidding their clients to be involved in any sort of romantic relationship.
Now I’ll be really honest with you, I don’t know much about other idol or non-idol groups, I basically only obsess over Kalafina XD But yeah, it’s widely known that there’s an unspoken rule in the entertainment industry, a “love ban” so to speak, that prohibits idol singers in Japan (and Korea I guess) from publicly engaging in romantic relationships, sometimes that rule may be enforced contractually. All of this most likely happens in order to prevent crazy and delusional fans from falling into despair. (Let it be known that I don’t support this kind of crazy possessive behaviour by fans. Fans DO NOT own their idols!)
I feel like the industry is much less strict when it comes to non-idol groups. While I am assuming that dating is not exactly encouraged, I don’t think it’s actually forbidden. The agency probably asks their clients to keep things as low-key as possible in case they do end up dating. I can see this working in theory since there seems to be a consensus that the private life of non-idols is pretty much off-limits. There’s no such thing as a paparazzi culture and Kalafina aren’t exactly the most hands-on group so we only know what they choose to tell us and nothing else. There’s a distinct line between their work life and private life. If the girls wanted to date they probably could. In fact, I can’t completely rule out the possibility that they have been/are dating but this sort of speculation would go beyond the scope of this ask.
Having said all of this, we know that the girls have a crazy schedule, they travel a lot and they barely get any days off so I very much doubt they would find the time or energy to maintain a relationship.
Either way, I wish them all the happiness in the world. If music is the thing that fulfils them right now, I am happy with that. If at some point they wish to have more off-time to pursue a relationship, I am content with that as well.
100DP Music Awards
Cybird gave us wallpapers with the idol groups from the “Music Awards”, campaign for 100DP 3rd Anniversary “C♮” (Byron Wagner/Xeno Gerald, Claude Braque, Giles Christophe) , “Sweet2″ (Louis Howard, Nico Meier, Noah Leonhart), “GOTA” (Alyn Crawford, Sid Grandier, Robert Branche) and “Trident” (Cain Roches, Leo Crawford, Albert Burckhardt)
At that time there was a voting event, and the group that received most votes was “Sweet2″. I still have the stories, will try to translate them, they were funny.
Byrooon... *forever in Byron’s arms* (/^-^(^ ^*)/ ♡ love you with all my “sweetheart” (≧◡≦) ♡
