Margie hallucinated Violetta as a spider monster for 0.2 secs and she got immortalized as a hunter in this game forever? I expected at least a little more of a story to it. It felt like they forgot why they designed her as a hunter in the first place and had to quickly write that in somehow. But I can't imagine how it would've gone otherwise idk
Mike being a cunt was the most refreshing thing ever to me LMFAO I think they did his character so well T_T.. Seeing him hyper defensive from all the grief & PTSD and pointing fingers at everyone only for his experiment file to describe him as the most clear-headed of this game kind of killed me because he was in the most vulnerable spiral of his life there. Even when he tried to dial it down around Violetta he still had a bite to his tone, very reminiscent of a condescending popular kid who's caught up in himself smh. Mike pisses me awf so bad. i lov him 🙄💖
I'm also soso satisfied he got that confrontation with Joker. Those 2 always felt like two sides of the same coin yk,, having grown up together in the circus, both stubbornly rosy eyed, both raised as Hullabaloo's cash cows, until Sergi came along and snuffed out Joker's fame. Their only difference is that Joker knew he was being mistreated all his life and found ways to justify it, Mike flat-out didn't see it. Sergi was the last domino that set off all of Joker's years of unprocessed anger. So Joker's world crumbled first and took out Mike's as a result. I always thought Mike viewed him as family but just expressed it poorly (ie. since he's prone to being patronizing without realizing it, and Murro said they used to bicker a lot). Maybe it all just felt like friendly squabbles to Mike back then T_T anyway I'm glad he got that much needed wakeup call from Joker in particular,,, even though it came way too late
wujiu and bi'an working on new drink recipes to add to their menu and realize they both came up with a similar flavor/blend & bi'an smiles like "we've always been two of a kind" but in their heads they both think "i made it thinking of (y/n)'s tastes" (neither admit that out loud)

His background story opened up so many questions that I went in thinking wahaha!! finally our answers!!! and ended up very underwhelmed. At the very least I wanted to know his sister's name... 💔
But giving her a name would be giving her some agency as a person, and in Richard's eyes she's only ever been a role: his sister and his princess. ig her name is irrelevant in a story shown through his pov lol
learning papa sterling's name before the sister kind of kills me though T_T

I'd imagine that under normal circumstances a noble family like the Sterlings would prefer to be more involved in their children's marriages, but this was (probably?) written around the time the parents were fighting, the mother attempted suicide & the father was busy cleaning up messes re: his business. The sister had been alone in navigating her fear of Richard for years now, but this situation left her especially isolated, so her last resort was to find a husband on her own. and all I can think about is how there was never any guarantee that her husband would've been any better since from the start he was always an escape route more than a lover
this quest was the most intriguing to me because it really drives in how deeply the knight fantasy is intwined in richard's identity. he wasn't necessarily trying to gaslight his sister, it's that he can't bear to shatter the fairytale they play equally important parts in. he Literally doesn't know who he'd be without the role deeprooted inside him. hence he dubs her the Villain in node 6– her trying to run away and elope was an explicit "sabotage" against him, the hero.
with the amount of info out i'm still just pulling ideas out of my ass but my most "out there" theory rn is that richard never went missing. that the dad's underground business had kept tabs on him all this time. maybe he was an early test subject for the drugs that would eventually be used at the manor idk. this is me trying to cope w/ how a 7-year-old antichrist joined the family out of nowhere 😭 i think i still lean toward the idea that he's the same boy just horrifically changed
Sangria's story is about false freedom, how her father forced her into opera and the only outlet she had was enchanting the audience into resonating with the tragedies she performed, the applause vindicated her trauma since it meant she was being seen and empathized with,
until Nicholas convinced her the applause was all superficial and that Sangria could prove her worth without being her father's jailbird, so she sacrificed her voice to her, after all it never really belonged to her,,
