Buenas tardes 🌞

Yesterday I’ve watched a video resource telling about the differences between language learning and language acquisition and so why some methods don’t work for language learners.

It says we need meaningful resources as our input, whether it’s understandable or not at first. As instance, watching tv series in our target language using its subtitle then trying to figure out the message in our target language (without dictionary).

Besides that, from the meaningful resources we can also listen the natural speaks so we learn the pronunciation and how to speak naturally by imitating the speakers based on our level, maybe just one, two or three words at first, it’s all right.

I found it’s logical, as when we were still lil’ kids, we weren’t taught by many flash cards to learn the mother tongue. We learnt by listening and mimicking our mother language then we got the message by looking at the real world.

Thus, the important thing is we should look for the meaningful resources for our target language. Yup or Nah? Do you wanna share any ideas?

Yup... tie your hair, grab your brunch then start gaming haha...

I like learning language through games, but not gamification. I mean, language learning apps such duolingo, drops, etc. could help me get used to my target language.

I read an article about habitual and repetitive learning, I feel it’s true since I experience it myself. Frankly, I don’t devote too much time on my language learning but I plan to do it everyday. Maybe 20-30 minutes is quite enough for me then I’ll choose different materials on each session. You know, I’m kinda easily getting bored of everything *lol ^^V

I’m practicing Spanish and Japanese by making them as habits. I speak in Spanish and Japanese in every opportunity (even when I’m talking to myself) and use any phrases that I’ve known in fit situations... like saying “buenas diás” to myself when I wake up. As simple as it is... or is it way too simple? Haha...

I really miss you all 🙀😽😸 I’m sorry for the late post. This is my favourite writing practice of my 30 days challenge. It’s about nature (actually it’s more likely a story of a squirrel lol) ✌🏻😹 I’d like to share the lessons from my #30dayschallenge but please let me say it in English hehe 😁✌🏻 I just finished my Japanese 30 days challenge during July. So, I said before on my instagram story that I realised I could have my brain thinking as the native of my target languages. It happened once I had a chitchat with my native Russian friend on tumblr. I asked her about a particular rule in Russian pronunciation. She explained anything and pointed out that even Russian are never thinking about how they say some words! It’s just coming out naturally as they talk in their own language. And I came to think, would it be possible if we think as the way a native does? As I’m learning Japanese N4, I just already studied about the polite form of some verbs. I noticed that I learned the polite forms separately from the normal and any other forms before (ーます、ーです、ーた、ーて、ふつけい forms, etc). This is a sample case, if you’re learning Korean, you’ll learn the forms of vocabulary at once. You gotta know, let’s say 도마와, and you’ll learn the word 감사합니다, 고맙다고, and so on. All at once... so, you can choose which one you’d probably use to talk with the one who’s older than you or the one who’s younger, based on the context and who you’re talking to. In Japanese, it’s actually the same... the difference is only the way we study the vocab forms. By knowing the context or situation and getting the vocabulary in context, I tried to think as the native. I mean, when I try to say something in Japanese, I say to myself that I’m Japanese, don’t think about how to form a word, just say it naturally. The thing is... let myself make mistakes and get somebody correct me. It can be your teacher, friends or anyone. Just like this writing practice. I learned many things by making mistakes. So, don’t be afraid of making mistakes and think that you’re a native of that language! And I’m so glad there are langblr, studyblr, langgram, studygram, polyglots communities and many more, who will be very welcome and helpful in learning the languages. So, let’s share more about anything! A simple thing can be much inspiring for somebody :) And thanks in advance for always being my inspiration! You’re all awesome 😎👏🏻💎💚💙

I learned kanji characters for adjectives. How is your kanji learning?

I usually listen to the music while I’m learning kanji. I listen to the melody, read and write kanji.

As I am an auditory learner, music plays a major role in my learning activities. My favourite song is GReeeeN - Kiseki sung by Minho ^^
