Despite its touristy trattorias and brassy bars, Molise's top beach resort retains a winning, low-key charm. Yes, these photos were taken on a fairly cold and windy Sunday, but this seaside resort would be heaving with visitors if it was in Liguria—or in the UK for that matter! I like how the old town – the 'borgo antico' – juts out to sea, almost like a massive pier, allowing visitors to walk down the narrow, colourful alleys and catch the odd glimpse of the sea.
