oh you have no idea how many headcanons and thoughts I have for Mammon and Fizzarolli's interactions in this AU :D
trivia: Mammon and Fizzarolli
classic duo of charismatic self-promoting king and his evil jester who's hated at court
Mammon calls Fizzarolli "my precious" or "my treasure"; Fizz calls Mammon "my king" or "dad"
Fizz is Mammon's son and it's not a joke lol (not physically, their case is more complicated)
he was created as one of the nameless legionnaire spirits, but was curious enough once to try to devour warm body of murdered venetian minstrel; because of this he got a physical shell (this affected his humanoid build, but Fizz's face still looks a lot like Mammon's, toad-like)
Mammon took him to court as a guard (spirit in a physical shell cannot merge with legion in all ways) and at first treated this incident as a funny mistake; soon he began to admire spirit's stubborn temper, carelessness and "call me by name, dad" demand
he released Fizzarolli, but Fizz, who was still a legionnaire created to serve, chose to remain
• there's a joke that Mammon does all wrong, because his legionnaires entertain guests, and his son is not a prince but a jester
Mammon has many jesters, but Fizzarolli was the best of the best, and Mammon allows him much more than others
Fizz enjoys taking advantage of this and mocking the court, and he's disliked for sharp tongue and way of saying unpleasant truth right on face; one of his favorite pastimes is to put on a wolf's cloak and parody Mammon in front of guests
Mammon may yell at him or even hit him, but he always listens, + Fizz can calm father with a joke or flattery
he's allowed to sit on Mammon's lap and climb on like a little child: due to hive-mind spirit origin and mental traits Fizz has a bit childish behaviour, and his perception of personal space is slightly broken
Mammon sometimes jokes "Fizzie, baby, why don't I sell you to [guest's name] and you poison him and come back?", but more often Mammon says "Fizzie, baby, bring wine to [guest's name] and put poison in his glass"
Fizz enjoys spying and blackmailing (charisma helps him a lot), and he's good at killings as soldier in past, especially silent killings
at the time of main events he's already quite old and limping after a broken hip, which makes him lean on a cane, and sharper with tongue than before
Mammon still cherishes him
