Ok No More Funk
I'm going to stop being stuck in this funk I've been in for the last two weeks. It's unhealthy and, in all honesty, it need to leave now.
So today I will be strictly positive, strictly optimistic. If I get sad I won't dwell I will lift my head and smile.
Today I've been thinking about being healthy. I'm trying not to think about my weight but, lets face it, my weight is a concern. I know I'm not fat and I'm healthy, but once I see the numbers I start thinking about how I'm over what other girls are. Comparing myself to others isn't going to get me anywhere. It's just going to make me not like myself more and, seriously, other girls aren't thinking about my weight so why should I worry about theirs being different from mine.
I've been seeing this pictures with healthy, strong, athletic people and I've decided I much rather be that girl than the skinny, boney one I picture sometimes. I know I have a tummy that's a slight bump, but who doesn't. I know my thighs aren't the smallest, but that's fine because they help me kick faster. I know my arms aren't the tiniest, but they're there they work and they help me swim.
So instead I'm going to stop thinking of all the things I occasionaly find to be flaws and think of them as....perfections and beautiful. Having thighs, and hips, and breast is not bad, it doesn't make me fat. It just means I actually eat, I work out, I don't count every calorie I intake and I'm happy.
I'm tired of letting the things people say bring me down. I'm tired of people telling me I'm "fat" and "ugly" because I'm not. I'm healthy and athletic. I'm not going to try to impress people by being what they think I should be because what I think I should be is much more important to me, and it should be.
