This is so random but what if the reason the nomai used the centrifugal artificial gravity in the ash twin project instead of their existing gravity distortion technology was to represent how the atp would cause time to flow in a circle....... they clearly aren't shy about symbolic architecture especially with the ash twin towers so I don't think it's too much of a stretch...... the only reason I thought of this is because I was thinking about the stranger being a ring world ALSO representing time moving in a loop and how the inhabitants stopped moving forward and are instead moving in a circle and holding onto the present and the known as long as they possibly can and they represent the player's future if they choose inaction, stuck in a loop of the same day, mourning a world they cannot go back to but too afraid of the unknown and their own certain death to step out of the loop and into the future......... anyways might write a comic about this who knows
