21147X here. No little wolf image this time. I kind of just... Feel horrible when scrolling on Tumblr. I wish I was never born AFAB, or wtv else I am (I'm pretty sure that I'm hormonally intersex), because transmascs, AFAB nonbinary people, and trans men are just portrayed as "Oh that transphobia was never meant for you. You were just grazed by a misdirected bullet that was meant for the REAL transgender community." And it makes me feel like I'm not a valid member of the trans, or genderfluid, or WHATEVER community I'm even in. I can't actually say anything about us being silenced and our struggle suppressed, because "We're just whiny privileged men that just can't shut up even though transphobia and transandrophobia don't exist." It feels unfair. I don't even know how to write my thoughts and feelings about this either. I'm not even old enough to transition, yet I still have more testosterone than average women, so I guess I'm just "extra privileged" because I already pass as a 'cis man'. I don't wanna be cis either. I can't win, I can't lose. I don't know what to do anymore. So call me a whiny bitch. A tme. A theyfab. A boycunt. A roastie, because Tumblr, but not personally, has pushed me into a metaphorical corner, and so I will sit in that corner, and do nothing about it.
I don't even fucking know what I'm even saying at this point. I never usually talk about my feelings in the first place, so I will leave it that way.
“Trans representation” and it’s a fully post-transition character most the time. Where are our trans men with long hair and big boobs and without access to a binder? Where are our trans women with beards and mustaches and are forced to be stereotypically masculine? Where are our trans characters who aren’t on hrt and still have obvious features of their biological sex?
Give your trans characters features of their biological sex, if you want. It isn’t transphobic. In fact, it’s probably more accurate, as a lot of the trans community doesn’t have access to gender affirming care. We deserve that representation.
But if you want to make a fully transitioned character? That’s fine too. I’m not saying I’m against post-transition rep. It is nice to see where I could end up in the future. All of the trans community deserve representation.
I need someone to talk to about gender, sexuality, labels, and expectations.
I am concerned that what I need to talk about will not be taken well, but I mean no harm and don't want to be mistaken for attacking the queer community/individual groups within the community. It may just sound strange.
