Day 140: Race day! What an awesome day of racing. We started swimming a little later due to thunderstorms, we got bike washed during the bike course and the views on the run were breathtaking. I’m feeling happy about my times and I’ll be posting a full race report once I gather my thoughts and myself. Also tons of pictures on the way. Thanks to all the wonderful athletes for cheering me up and all the volunteers the made us feel comfortable on the course. Day 139: We got to Atlantic City this morning safe and sound. The athlete and bike checking was so smooth, I was really impressed. To top things off the @delmosports race director kept things fun and to the point during the race briefing. Yes! I read the athlete guide. Last but not least we stopped for brunch and a good dose of carb loading. All that is left is to rest and enjoy racing tomorrow. Day 138: This is it! The last training session of the season before the race at Ironman 70.3 Atlantic City. I can’t begin to explain how I’m feeling right now. Day 134: Race week has officially started and I’m strongly considering looking for a meteorologist part time job. I’m finding myself stalking the weather report every few hours looking for a change in the forecast. Day 133: Today’s brick training session was the second this week and the last of the more intense workouts. The indoor bike was great and my legs felt amazing running off the bike. From this point on, it’s all a matter of training smart with just enough intensity to remind myself of what to expect.
