I'm a Hypocrite

I’ve been thinking about a post from @erinstop from a while back about how most of us are unintentional hypocrites in some way or another. I’m sooo guilty. I always urge people to get new headshots after changing hair color/cut or overall look. CONFESSION - I’ve changed my hair three times since my last photo. CONFESSION - I really only did this because someone was asking Foo Fighters fans for photos with a lyric. (Some of you may have already been singing ‘Best of You’ when you saw the photo. You’re my people.) CONFESSION - I really don’t enjoy being in front of the camera. I think my camera has become a security blanket to hide behind. But, that’s kind of hypocritical, right? I’m going to try and make more of an effort to get in front of the camera. Humans are such delicate and fragile creatures, yet so irrationally pursuing happiness in the present at the cost of happiness in the future.

(Do people think I’m joking when I tell them not to have feelings for me?)

I guess what I’m saying is that desire is a very powerful thing and goes hand in hand with destruction; I mean, just look at a moth’s attraction to light. Light is such a pretty thing, but it burns as much as it shines.
