In Germany, Nazi symbols are illegal. They teach a true account of the historical actions of their country in schools as to never repeat it. Art installations and signs remind citizens what was done to anyone who was not white and “perfect.” They are actively teaching about, learning from, and paying for their mistakes.

America doesn’t do any of these things. You can fly the confederate flag wherever you please. You learn a pro-American account of our history instead of the pure truth in school. Mr. Trump will not denounce actual Nazis and white supremacists because they are a major contributor to his campaigns.

And look where we are now.

We will never change the minds of these monsters. But we can silence them. Please, please go out and vote. Learn who is representing your community. Call your representatives and senators. Protest. Be active in your community and on your political stage.

It is dangerous to be silent now. Be heard, be loud, and silence the ignorance that is running rampant at the encouragement of our so-called leadership.
