1) What’s the most annoying thing about your favourite series/game/book/whatever?
Lmao the most obvious series for this question would be The Saga of Darren Shan by Darren Shan because there’s so much wrong with it, like a) IT’S WRITTEN BY DARREN SHAN, B) MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER DIES. TWICE. (NO I AM NOT KIDDING), C) IT’S THE ONLY SERIES THAT’S EVER MADE ME IRRATIONALLY HATE THE MAIN LOVE INTEREST JUST FOR HER BEING SUCH A FORCED AND ANNOYING PLOT DEVICE D) FUCKING HARKAT FUYcK F) WHAT THE HELL ARE THE LAST TWO BOOKS ANYWAY WH A T ugh please don’t make me talk about this series I will spontaneously combust (and yet I still love it)
2) What’s your favourite instrumental song?
I always go back to Air’s Alone in Kyoto when I want to calm down (I’m actually listening to it right now haha), and Ryuichi Sakamoto’s theme for Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence has stuck with me for a long time.
3) If you could import one custom or a tradition from another country to yours, what would it be?
Idk I’d kind of like to have all the customary polite phrases for every situation that Japanese has, just so I’d always know what to say in awkward everyday situations.
4) Would you travel to space if you had the chance?
Yeah I’d totally love to fly to Earth’s orbit and just look down at the planet and the space and everything and just stay there for a while. Recently reading Carl Sagan’s The Contact really made it seem like a great vacation spot haha.
5) If you had kids, is there a hobby you would really want them to have?
Reading? :DD what are hobbies? Okay maybe scouting would be nice too since I loved that as a kid.
6) Something about yourself or the things you have done that you are proud about?
Well I guess the latest thing I’ve been proud of was my BL lecture in Desucon... oh and I just caught the samurai kitty on Nekoatsume!
7) What’s the best book you’ve read in the last year or two?
But I’ve read so many nice books in the past few years, do I have to pick just one? The best book I’ve read so far this year has been Surunhauras, lasinterävä by Siiri Enoranta. Last year’s great reads include The Drowning Girl by Caitlin Kiernan, Lies We Tell Ourselves by Robin Talley, Death of Bees by Lisa O’Donnell, Nimbus ja tähdet by Tero Niemi & Anu Salminen and Carry On by Rainbow Rowell.
8) In everyday life, when and where do you feel the most comfortable?
Reading in the bus on my way to work/home, or maybe cooking at home haha.
9) Do you have an accessory, jewellery or the like that you wear on most days?
I always wear a watch, and lately I’ve been often wearing a tiny moonstone necklace my grandma got me from Sri Lanka when I was small.
10) Describe your ideal house or apartment.
Ehh, probably a traditional Japanese house but built to withstand Finnish weather. Or one of those elaborate tree houses you see in coffee table books and architecture blogs. Just give me a lot of wood surfaces and an ofuro and I’m good to stay there forever.
11) Share something you especially appreciate about your friends?
They make me feel like it’s okay to be the way I am.

Probably random comments on a forum, or links to doujinshi websites.
H: Do you prefer real-life TV shows or animated TV shows?
I like both, but I am only really in anime fandoms.
M: A person who got you into a fandom and what fandom they pulled you in to.
This happens on Tumblr sometimes. Even a reblog of a post can get me into a fandom, so I wouldn’t always know who it was from. I do remember that imperfekti got me into a ship once: Chitose/Tachibana from Prince of Tennis.
S: What’s a headcanon you have?
Free!: Makoto pulled Sousuke back from the brink of depression and unhappiness. Sousuke will always love him for it.
Y: A fandom you’re in but have no ships from.
I like things, but usually only really become part of fandoms when I ship something. Perhaps Jessica Jones comes closest.

Yes, it’s very frustrating! I really dislike when this happens. I don’t think I’ve caught a single meteor shower in my life because it’s always cloudy >.>;;;;
