Content warnings: implied torture, pet whump, captive whump, disfiguration, self-disgust, self-disgust at appearances, blackmail, cameras and photos. Let me know if I should add stuff.
Whumper is taking before and after photos, maybe daily, maybe monthly, maybe yearly. Maybe without the whumpee knowing it, so that they can have an “anniversary” surprise. Maybe even at an “anniversary” suprise party with all the others who’ve added to the Whump.
I hope this isn’t being presumptuous, but I really like this idea in the context of @galaxywhump‘s SV-240 series
Whumpee who escapes/returns to normal life can’t bear the sight of their own photos, because it reminds them of what they’ve lost. Maybe Whumper removed Whumpee’s favourite physical feature. Caretaker is distressed when they notice how much Whumpee can’t stand how much they hate the way they look now, how they always turn away at the last second in photographs, or how they now hate mirrors. Caretaker is particularly concerned when others who don’t know about it suggest that Whumpee is just self-negging for attention.
In the opposite direction, Whumpee can’t find any old photos because Whumper has destroyed them all to hamper any rescue attempts that might be made, and just wishes they had some little token of a bygone age when they didn’t look so broken. Bonus points if they finally tell Caretaker, and Caretaker has a secret old physical one stashed somewhere no one would ever think to look.
Whumpee finally feeling better about the way they look after some makeover or body positivity time with Caretaker.
A Whumpee who is being tortured in secret, but otherwise has to go about their daily life, is picked up on by a doctor who has seen their medical records, and knows that their various indicators of stress are way off.
Whumper takes commemorative photos of Whumpee’s “progress” in doing the twisted things Whumper wants them to do. To make them feel bad, and/or to use as blackmail. (Smile for the Camera! As Whumpee hold up a Caretaker’s or Civilian’s battered face, and just wants the floor to eat them.)
Whumpee is scared that no one will even recognize them from their old photos because of how much they’ve changed.
