After many messengers and threats sent between the two kingdoms (mostly on Cenred’s part), arrangements had finally been made for a peacekeeping visit. Not willing to have Arthur in his kingdom, the Essetirian monarch had agreed to stay in Camelot for three days: if treaty agreements had not been established by then, further arrangements would have to be made.
At the end of an unsuccessful first evening, Cenred found himself almost entirely alone with Camelot’s queen. An annoyed huff escaped him as he thought back to their useless conversations, and he impatient leaned back against his chair.
“Your husband is infuriating. Why does he have such a ridiculous view of magic?”
