Good afternoon #morningwarriors This morning I had the pleasure of spending time at breakfast with my oldest playing #checkers She almost had me beat, but then started to lay off her attack. She was making reckless moves, and thought because she had eaten more pieces, that she could coast to victory. After the game, she was frustrated with the end results, so I took the opportunity to list out the reasons she lost. 1. Don’t sacrifice without opportunity to gain. One step back, is okay if it means 3 steps forward. 2. Play smart; playing doesn’t always have to be serious, but still requires the respect of being intelligent about your moves. 3. Be Relentless; keep your eye on the prize. Don’t let fatigue or other distractions lower the intensity of the want to achieve your goal(s). Looking at that list, I couldn’t help notice how many life lessons where on the board.
