Excellent Sources about Native Americans
Since I started my journey on Native American history and culture and how the ancestors lived and survived, I have learnt so much and continue to do so until this day. I would probably continue for as long as I can read and write. I have in my searches come across many great websites and places that even pay tribute to Native American individualism. One such site is indigenousimageawards.com where they focus on Natives and proudly presenting awards in various industries.
Another website I found some time ago with immensely interesting facts on Native American Tribes in particular is tolatsga.org. Here the author display an intimate knowledge on Native tribes, which I found riveting, reading material. I learnt for example so much more about the Chickasaw while there had been little information about this tribe in particular. They were one of the civilized tribes if you can remember I spoke about them earlier as living in the Southeastern Americas. They were formidable warriors and played a large role in the British war against France when control was seeked over North America. The British recognized the prowess of the Chickasaw and they were subsequently armed to the teeth in order to help the British conquer the French. Nothing scared the fearless warriors who took on tribes and armies five or six times their own size and still walked away as winners. When time came to surrender when they picked the wrong side in the American Civil War, this proud tribe was the last to surrender.
