17. Has anything wonderful happened to you?

last year meeting everyone in the finnefandom, I had a very small social life but now I have loads of friends and they all make me so happy and even if the majority of my social life is in or around London I still love them all! ITS SO CHEESY AND SENTIMENTAL! but honestly I've done so much in the past year I never would have if I didn’t meet everyone.

89. What is the nicest thing anyone has said to you?

“Of course you match the brilliance of Finnemore” - dumblecroft also lord-greg-powers always saying I write well when I show her my writing, that makes me happy. Tim Fitzhigham making a pun on my surname and making it a lovely compliment! (I know he did it because of the pun but was still lovely) “You were the most amazing and everyone knew it” - Rufus Hound (That’s what he signed for me, it was the end of 27 hours and I don't know of he really meant it but it still makes me happy)

ok i am not having a go at you or anything, but re. your post about "cultural fetizisation' w people liking the aesthetic of japanese characters, u live in japan, so surely you have seen how everything has english on it just because english is cool?Like so many products have bad english on it for aesthetic/ advertising. also in english with french, it is used in advertising because it looks nice. Im just saying its hardly "cultural fetizisation'its every where and it's not really a problem tbh

the USA is a global superpower and it and the Western-English-speaking world’s influence has essentially forced any country that wants to succeed economically to teach english in schools. English was integrated so heavily into japan because the USA occupied Japan after they lost the war. today there are US Army, Navy, or Air Force bases in every prefecture that are essentially little pieces of America taking up thousands of square meters of land. there are some items (ie. clothing) that include ‘bad (???)’ English for the aesthetic of the language, and even that appeal can be attributed to the forceful Westernization of Japan by the USA.  other than that any english words/signs/etc. are there because the language of English has taken over the world. Japan does not use English because it is ‘cool.’

aw I don’t think you are a shit person! u seem lovely to me. I sort of feel the same, because since i told my friend about my anxiety disorder, I feel like I’ve been relying on her and I don’t want to make her cope with it as well.. :(

Thank you. I have the problem that I rely on people too much. I rely on other peoples happiness to make me happy. I rely on them to make me happy instead of finding my own ways to be happy. And now I realise that one day I may not have any of them in my life, I'm breaking down because how will I cope and be happy? *sighs*

Thank you Zophie <3 I sometimes forget that that are people there I can talk to and I go to other people and then they get pissed off as they are feeling shit and then I'm dumping my concerns off to them. I just sometimes need people to vent too. It's not so much that I feel I need advice or stuff, I just need to get things out.
