When I was a child, we visited the graveyard every day in November (Mí na Marbh/Month of the Dead) to pray for our deceased relatives. I'm not sure if this was common in other places? This little house is built over St. Kevin's Bed (Leaba Chaomháin) in the graveyard in Inis Oírr. It's the resting place of the patron saint of the island, Naomh Caomhán/St. Kevin. Before the little house was built, it was completely covered by sand, and was uncovered each year for the saint's feastday on June 14th. #inisoírr #aranislands #inisheer #inishere #winterinireland #wildatlanticwayislands #wildatlanticway #irishgraveyard #graveyard #irelandphotography #instaireland #november #irishheritage #teampallchaomháin (at Inis Oirr, Aran Islands) https://www.instagram.com/p/CHGp6LTpFUO/?igshid=1x26uo13xwadh
