Saying "All Lives Matter" — which some use as a rebuttal to the Black Lives Matter movement — is an unacceptable response, "[It's] like saying the fire department should spray down all houses in a neighborhood even if only one house is on fire because all the houses matter. And yes, your house does matter 100 percent, but your house is not on fire."
Whenever I come, a conflict is precipitated between the old and the new, between justice and injustice, between the forces of light and the forces of darkness. I come to declare war over injustice. I come to declare war on evil. Peace is not merely the absence of some negative force–war, tension, confusion, but it is the presence of some positive force–justice, goodwill, the power of the kingdom of God
Rev. Doc. Martin Luther King, Jr. "When Peace Becomes Obnoxious." 29 March 1956. Louisville, Ky.
“I wanted to be the kind of writer who illuminated hidden injustice so starkly that it would simply cease to be perpetuated, “If only people knew that the government was taking Native land! Everyone would be so outraged!” It hadn’t occurred to me that most people might feel fine about consciously exploiting other people.”
To varying degrees, most of us live in a state of willfulness blindness. We see horror all around us: People lying half-clothed, unconsciousness, on the sidewalk; football players who sustain brain damage for our enjoyment; news reports about children dying of hunger. We see these things the way we see the passing landscape. We see them and we go about our day.
So i was wrong.......Martian Manhunter is kinda awesome...in Injustice anyway.
If i wore a hat I would eat it. Martian Manhunter, is kinda fucking awesome in Injustice. Did i judge a book by its cover...I sure did and boy am I the fool. My personal belief that MM is a boring green mope who loves his oreo's remains true... look at him his fucking bald. But his the kind of character i love to play as, a jerk kinda character. Sharing similar attributes to my boy Shazam, MM is all about the bait and switch moves followed up by trap moves that comes with a good grief charcter. Keep your distance and fuck the foes mind. Using a mix of dash, teleport and zoneing attacks MM is perfect for keeping you opponent frustrated and wanting slap you in the face and no longer giving you presents for you birthday. So if you like being a dick, invest. He is also kind of gross, when you activate his power, he gets all stretchy and sounds kinda...wrong
Now my only two complaints are his lack of spectacle and the pricing. Now when i brought the season pass for Injustice I knew I would be getting 4 characters for the price of 3 and yes i knew this did not mean MM. But there is no season pass for the next batch of characters at the moment which is oh so stupid. He is also one of the least interesting looking characters on the roster. Neverrealm Studios did a pretty good job on redesigning the character costume's for the rest of the roster and its shame to see MM as just boring old MM. Even his Super movie is poor, its almost as bad as Killer Cold's shitty move with the ice and the splat.
That said I eat my words, Martian Manhunter plays fantastic and is worth the 7.95 AUD. His still kinda gross. I still want Swamp Thing though

Troy Davis was executed at 10pm Sept. 21, 2011. Despite his execution, there has been an overwhelming level of awareness exhibited by our generation. NBW urges you to keep up the fight, to be diligent in the fight against all injustice. Understand your POWER as an individual!
"I want to thank all of you for your efforts and dedication to Human Rights and Human Kindness, in the past year I have experienced such emotion, joy, sadness and never ending faith. It is because of all of you that I am alive today, as I look at my sister Martina I am marveled by the love she has for me and of course I worry about her and her health, but as she tells me she is the eldest and she will not back down from this fight to save my life and prove to the world that I am innocent of this terrible crime.
As I look at my mail from across the globe, from places I have never ever dreamed I would know about and people speaking languages and expressing cultures and religions I could only hope to one day see first hand. I am humbled by the emotion that fills my heart with overwhelming, overflowing Joy. I can’t even explain the insurgence of emotion I feel when I try to express the strength I draw from you all, it compounds my faith and it shows me yet again that this is not a case about the death penalty, this is not a case about Troy Davis, this is a case about Justice and the Human Spirit to see Justice prevail.
I cannot answer all of your letters but I do read them all, I cannot see you all but I can imagine your faces, I cannot hear you speak but your letters take me to the far reaches of the world, I cannot touch you physically but I feel your warmth everyday I exist.
So Thank you and remember I am in a place where execution can only destroy your physical form but because of my faith in God, my family and all of you I have been spiritually free for some time and no matter what happens in the days, weeks to come, this Movement to end the death penalty, to seek true justice, to expose a system that fails to protect the innocent must be accelerated. There are so many more Troy Davis’. This fight to end the death penalty is not won or lost through me but through our strength to move forward and save every innocent person in captivity around the globe. We need to dismantle this Unjust system city by city, state by state and country by country.
I can’t wait to Stand with you, no matter if that is in physical or spiritual form, I will one day be announcing,
“I AM TROY DAVIS, and I AM FREE!”
Never Stop Fighting for Justice and We will Win!"
We want to hear from you!! Here are just a few thought provoking questions to open the discussion. Make your voice heard!
What are your thoughts? about the case? about the death penalty?
What do you think the role of people of african descent (i.e. YOU) is in the fight for justice?
Considering the incarceration of millions of black men, what do you think the role of Black women is to avoid this situation? Do we have a role?
