WHY SELF WORK IS REALLY IMPORTANT (with reference to my own life)
Intro: so, I remember about a year ago i was heavily following YouTubers like Shelly Bullard and Kim Velez who would always emphasise on working on your “self concept”. I would find it so annoying because i was always concerned with manifesting my desire into the 3D because of my attachment to that thing. Lol. Biggest joke. I thought once i get this, i will be fine. And personally saying mere affirmations like “i am perfect” or dis-identifying myself with my unhealed self never did the work for me. Doing things like non-identification comes later, we can’t just bypass all the human stuff. And that’s where i disagree with Sammy Ingram.
The point of doing inner-work: sure, you can manifest a lot of things by simply imagining. And it will definitely come into your 3D. But what’s the point if you’re gonna lose it anyway because of your fears, self-sabotaging behaviours. For example, in 2021 i was in a relationship with the love of my life. However, because of my poor SC, i would be so anxious all the time, that the relationship became hell for me. Because of my own overthinking and anxiety, i would self sabotage, then manifest him again, then self sabotage again and it continued to be a repetitive cycle of emotional abuse and trauma. Until the point came where I couldn’t take it anymore. There was too much resentment to go back there and i ended the relationship for once and for all. I’m sure that’s not the kind of ending you’re looking for, with your SPs lol.
Techniques for inner-work:
1. EFT tapping: my personal favourite. I follow Brad Yates for this. Hop onto his channel to see what EFT is.
2. Meditation: again, this clears up all the worries and it’s good to sit in silence, doing nothing at times. It tells you that you’re consciousness and that you’re so much bigger than your thoughts and worries.
3. Affirmations: I personally don’t find them very effective especially if you have layers of trauma and abuse and self sabotaging tendencies. I think you can definitely use affirmations in the later stages of your inner-work.
4. Identifying with the alter ego: I use this whenever i want to get creative with my inner-work.
Outro:
I know there are some people who tell you inner-work is not important and that you can just manifest it. Btw, manifestation is not magic. The 3D world has it’s own laws. Manifesting healing in itself means you’re gonna be doing things that allow you to heal. It’s really upto you, whoever you want to listen to. I would say ultimately it’s your birthright to be happy, joyful and secure, more than having and SP or any other such things. Take time to truly understand manifestation and realise it’s not magic. Any coach that says something like this, has probably not manifested anything in life lol.
