americans will see a little puff of cotton candy and go "is anybody gonna eat that?" and then awkwardly bounce on their heels for a minute and then go "ah, well, more for me!" and eat the whole thing in one bite plate and all

exactly
while van helsing and seward are both weirdos, i think that seward is a Freak in a way that van helsing just isn’t, which includes his sexual preferences, and this is a hill i’ll die on. but luckily for him van helsing has an ~absolute open mind~ or whatever, so he will indulge whatever freak shit seward is into in bed, and it will awaken things in him too so like, congrats old man
Hi, there! I hope I’m not bothering you given that I’m sure your asks are filled to the brim. I just need to vent a little.
That anon who felt the need to comment that they ~ don’t get how someone who is supposedly gay could watch romance films where the couple is straight ~ just…knocked me on my ass. As a queer woman (as a person who is currently alive and in possession of all my faculties, really) I’m well aware homophobia and ignorance are alive and well, but that was homophobic AND dumb as all hell. Since when can’t queer people watch movies featuring straight people (straight people watch queer films and nobody questions anything!)? Since when is that weird or an indicator of anything? When has that ever been a thing? ‘Straight films/tv shows’ make up the vast majority of media all around the world. Queer cinema is so limited, specially outside of the ‘western world’. And well-written/directed/acted films with big budgets/promo in the mainstream that also have a happy ending? I could probably count those movies on both my hands if I was feeling extremely generous.
I truly don’t know how some of these people function in the real world. JM/JK being gay/bi/queer has no impact whatsoever on what their favourite music or movie genre may be. Could their experiences as, possibly, queer men possibly add emotional impact when listening to certain music or watching certain films, sure, but that is true of anything else about them. I LOVE me some cheesy/romantic/fairytale ending movies that I can cry about while I consume concerning amounts of ice cream, but I don’t just watch films that depict bi people in relationships or wlw/mlm films…because 1)they are few and far in between and 2)the fact that I am queer does not mean that I have suddenly lost the ability to appreciate a beautiful love story regardless of the sexual orientation or gender identity of the people loving each other. Love is wonderful and open and free and has so infinite variations. Stop trying to put love in a box, goddamit. Stop trying to put JK/JM in a box, too while you’re at it.
Okay, I’m done, I think. Thank you. I love your blog very much💕🥺
Hey hello hiii @chimchiminie98 and welcome to my comfy inbox bar for nice people.
I’m with you, person in control of your faculties. I don’t get it and what’s amazing is that my less savory readers trolls are entirely unapologetic and unwilling to learn. They’d rather float new/different theories and try to tell me how to run my space and I’m just. Stunned, maybe, for lack of a better word. The whole thing makes me want to lock my door and hide under my pillow until the outside world improves.
I love everything you said. Please feel free to come back and talk any time.
"Baby, look, there's a super smart person! She understands us!" "No.... way."
both films also explore the theme of “sometimes your dad was a dick”
“I feel like... he’s just gotta stop time traveling. I feel like that’s the solution”
-my friend, re: barry
you know, apropos nothing in particular, i love the reading that VH is pushing the wife role onto jack (obviously, i’ve made half a dozen posts about it), but overall i generally think of VH as more “feminine” than jack and will think of him as jack’s wife just as often as i think of jack as his wife…. like just because VH tops it doesn’t automatically make him “the husband”, they’re not hets
yes i do
