Watching the new Lynley. Still not convinced we needed one. Parker and Small perfected those roles.

But Suter is giving me Parker. While Barclay isn’t playing Barbara as abrasive and insecure as Small out of the gate. Though that might have more to do with altering her backstory.

The class prejudice (like Lynley has to be slumming 🙄 and treating Havers like the help just because of their backgrounds) still pisses me off but (we) Americans tend to view these things from a different lens.

The best thing about the show is the colorful extended cast.

Ultimately, my only requests have to do with the original show’s romance plot:

Keep— no Lynley+ Havers (not even a whiff)

Kick— Helen (please show gods no!)

Minding my business watching S1E3 of Inspector Lynley when all of a sudden I realized one of the school boys looks familiar

Then it hit me like

It was his first TV series role from the looks of things.
