One of the best things is when your art or fics inspire others to write or draw something based on your own works <3

Just now one user, who’s been following me for a long time on InkBunny already, said how much they liked my little background story to one of my art, saying it would make a really good fic.

Based on our earlier conversations I know they would like to write fics, inspired by other peoples’ fics and arts, but they are usually told not to write anything based on their works by original artists / writers. And I think that’s shitty attitude.

So what I did? I instantly said; “Go for it! Write a fic based on any of my art(s) if you want to and if it inspires you! As long as you mention me and put link to my work what inspired you, that’s all what I ask.” I mean I don’t want to kill peoples inspiration and creativity by being tight ass cunt by saying; “No.”

This person got.so.damn.happy! They said they feel like being in Heaven! <3

So please, people, if your works inspire others (and they won’t go copy it etc. and they will credit you with links), let them go and have their fun! You had yours and I think you should be happy and proud when you inspire others :)
