Some Instagram Things
There are some more updates coming up with Instagram application as a whole. More of them are new features than improvement ones. So for sure there will be so many updates for Instagram will be rolled out coming days, like there are gimmick feature too. So I hope there will be some improvement updates too. Let's dig into more info about these features and updates.
Instagram's Shaky Feature
Instagram has introduced a new “Rage Shake” feature that lets users shake their phones to report a problem with the app. In short this is the thing. So I will explain what is the purpose. Imagine you are scrolling through your Home page, Explore page or even Reels tab and suddenly, you faces a glitch or lag or some issue. What you can do for it is, just shake you phone so hard that the Instagram gets the info from your device using sensors, and this makes it work. When you shake at the same time the screenshot will be captures and report issue box will be popped up and just type your faced issue. And back to normal the issue will be automatically send by the app itself with the proof. This helps Instagram team to work better and you know more ease way than going to profile and settings and all to report your issue. For sure they need permission to access your phone's sensors and the screen for this feature. I don't how this will be taken by the iPhones. For now it's available in the U.S.
Delete Individual Carousel Posts
They are also rolling out the ability to delete single items from a carousel post with at least three images or videos. For context, carousel feed posts can combine up to 10 photos and videos in one post. With this latest update, you can delete items from an existing carousel. It’s worth noting that you can’t add to the carousel, replace one item for another or reorder items in the carousel. It was one of the most requested feature and yeah it's coming.
Post It From Your Computer
Yeah I still remember the rumours about this feature dated around June - July times and I was so excited. Like I edit videos and photos in my laptop and it's a kind of hard to share the files to phone and upload it from there. It do affect the quality too. "If this feature was there" - I wished at that time. And yeah the beta version of this feature was out on November starting times and the photos were posted in high quality for which I was satisfied. But the analytics of the post was disappointing. But now it's available with perfect version, they say. But I'm still afraid to post like that. So I'm waiting for more reviews about that. So You Can Do That - No Issues.
Time To Add Some Moderators
Yeah like YouTube, you can add moderators for helping with your Instagram handle. They can manage your live times and stories and all. Including posts' comments. Same as YouTube but it's Instagram. And this feature is in Beta version, not out now and some say they can only interfere live video chats. Yeah let's see how it comes out but there will be an option to add moderators. And adding one more you can also react to stories on itself, but won't be texted this reaction on DMs. Still Beta users have access to this feature.
Music Time For Your Posts
Like Instagram Stories and Reels, you can add music to your regular posts. Whatever may be the content (photos, videos) , you can add music for them. It's an upgrade for post features.
Instagram May Shut Down Threads
So Threads is a standalone app, which was launched back in 2019 to allow users to share photos, videos, messages, stories and more with their close friends on Instagram. They are planning to shut down its Threads app. The company has confirmed this to TechCrunch and asserted that the platform will also start alerting users to return to Instagram starting November 23. Yeah it's a hard take that the app offered a few unique features, including automatic statuses that the app could add automatically on the basis of what your phone was doing. If you liked this feature, then don’t worry as it seems that the same will also be made available in the original Instagram app. Yeah let's hope so: )
Yeah there are so many drastic changes going to come. I thing more of them are not released to the public so we don't how all this will end. But this can improve a lot from the app's potential itself. I think they are trying new stuffs. Let me know your thoughts and experiences on the comments - This is Edwin K Jayesh ; )
