“I’m sorry Mr. Showenhower but I can’t help you if you’re still under the delusion that ghosts exist. Our time together has only worsened your state, I’ll be reassigning you a new therapist.”

“No wait! You have to believe me! You can’t leave me alone!”

The Terror: Devil In Silver

This is a whump list for season 3 of the horror anthology show The Terror starring Dan Stevens. You don't need to have watched any other seasons of The Terror to watch it, I certainly haven't!

1x01 fight with multiple people who turn out to be plainclothes cops, face gabbed, arrested, checked into spooky run down psychiatric hospital against his will, handcuffed to a chair, bruised wrists, drugged, hallucinations, upset, frightened, sedated, trapped in hospital

1x02 drugged, upset, tackled and punched in the face repeatedly, dragged on the ground, sedated, restrained to bed, gagged, hallucinations (?), panicking, screaming, scratches and bruises on his torso from the hallucination? groaning in pain/discomfort, bruised wrists, attacked/stomped repeatedly by? something? blood on his face, dragged on the floor, dazed

1x03 eye swollen shut, bruises and cut on his face from previous episode, groaning in pain, afraid, back pain from stomping, confined to wheel chair, almost escapes, brief fight, punched

1x04 upset, forced to relive trauma

1x05 none :/

1x06 scared

(This show really fall apart for in the back half, not just from a whump perspective, I think they just didn't know what they wanted to and it was messy and made no sense so like not sure if I actually recommend)

Born on this day (8 December 1943): insolent Warhol Superstar turned queen of cult movies, actress, writer, visual artist and recovered amphetamine enthusiast … Mary Woronov! I love the strikingly angular Woronov’s deadpan performances, resting bitch face and witheringly contemptuous voice in Chelsea Girls (1966), Silent Night, Bloody Night (1972) (recommended Christmas viewing), Death Race 2000 (1975), Rock’n’Roll High School (1979), Eating Raoul (1982), Hellhole (1985) (even in a cast including Edy Williams (Beyond the Valley of the Dolls) and Dyanne Thorne (Ilsa: She Wolf of the SS), Woronov totally dominates as – what else? – the sadistic villainess) and Scenes from the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills (1989). But hell, Woronov is even great value doing guest spots on episodes of Charlie’s Angels (1976) and Murder, She Wrote (1985). One of the best things she ever did was play the mother in punk band Suicidal Tendencies' 1983 video “Institutionalized” (“All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi, and she wouldn't give it to me!”).
