“and then, well then....doesn’t matter. want another cocktail?” emerson asked as she looked back at the other, she was pretty sure that she was signed up to be taking part in limbo right now but it was safe to say that she had one intention for the evening. she hadn’t been drunk, not really drunk since new years and she figured it was about time that she got there again. maybe make some more dumb mistakes to cancel out the others. “nice fit by the way, i’m wondering how long this outfit will stay white this time. still have dreams about red paint. who does that?”

“no, no, no.” odette was not a fan of this already, everyone was going to burn to a crisp and none of them were going to make it to the next stop. she was a fan of the heat and the sun when it came with a five star resort, cocktails and an infinity pool. not back yard animals and a lack of sanitary stations. “you did not put nearly enough sunscreen on, you have to lather, you’re not on a beach back home now cover your head and get more sunscreen on, please for the love of god.”

     after the party,       she had      one too many       things going on.       she could barely      have a conversation     with anyone      before ripping       their head off.      she had the      rose gold bowl in      her hand,          the metals cylinder     around the circle      of the bowl,        her scented verbatim       penetrating the      air.     hearing the knock      on the door    , an annoyed      sigh escapes      her lips.      watching the       door open ——- ❝            this better     be life     & .    death . ❞

standing in the kitchen of the main house, the time had ticked by and she had spent a number of hours outside the house, her regular hobby of wandering around with little to no regard for her safety back in full force. pouring a concoction of alcohol, she put it on the kitchen island, “try this.”

he was owning volley ball, but then again what was to be expected from the former pro athlete who was just about as tall as the net? absolutely nothing. the stares in his direction were a mixture of admiration, lust and jealousy and he was thriving on it all as he caught the others eye. “you can stare all you want but pictures are welcome too.” he smirked, his skin a golden glow in the sun, his shirt long since lost.

“so yea, that was the dream, one minute i was sound asleep the next the lions were talking like we’re in lion king itself and in our work houses marching us all out because we had been here for too long.” emerson mused as she picked at the grains that had been cooked, a meal she had now mastered eating with her fingers just like the locals had. the dirt just felt like it was part of her now, the slick look in her hair from the grease something she had just come to term with. “anyway either africa is sending me nuts or i’m becoming one with the way of life.”
