Slytherin×Gryffindor relationships

Well everyone’s OTP is Slytherin×Hufflepuff and i’m one of those people but hear me out please

You’re stereotyped as the villain and the hero, well guess what ? Opposites attract .

Grryfindor would die for their Slytherin, Sly would kill for them .

Adrenaline ? Illegal ? Fun ? Risk ? Bet ? Well you’re both in .

You’d constantly make fun of each other without getting butthurt, but you wouldn’t tolerate any person making a mean comment about them .

No one would dare come after your lover because then they would have you to answer to and most people are afraid of you let’s face it .

You most likely have a favorite song and whenever it comes on the radio or tv in public, you’d sing very loudly that you get annoyed stares .

You would do whatever you want whenever you want because fuck you people no one will tell us what to do .

Sly would help Grryf make a 5 years plan and stick to it because Grryf tend to have dreams rather than goals but sly would help them make their most wild dreams a reality .

Sly’s always very busy and concentrated on their studies and work because one day they’re gonna make it big you just sit there and watch; but sometimes anxiety and stress might kick in and make them forget how to live a little, and who’s more lively than a Gryff , who’s more capable of getting Sly to forget about work just tonight and have fun ?

You both tend to be very good role models when you want to be so if you’re ever willing to have kids, it’s parentship at its finest .

You don’t like to be seen as warm and cute , but you secretly are . You probably have pet names fo each other and you show affection in public, you bring out that part in each other and no one would dare to say a word .

You’re both stubborn and fiery but you always try to find a solution that works for the both of you .

You’d encourage each other to pursue your dreams because you’re both convinced that you have to find meaning for your lives .

People are always wondering how in the world you two got to be together, but that’s the fun part about the whole relationship , getting to confuse the hell out of others .

What is your opinion on my interhouse relationship? I'm just a massive rebel! I'm a hufflepuff and my significant other is a gryffindor (which slightly surprised me as I thought he was more ravenclaw but he does have some very gryffindor traits haha)

I don’t think there’s anything weird about interhouse relationships. Honestly I’m pretty sure most people date people from other houses.-Mel (the Slytherin)

Hey! First of all I love you and you’re amazing. Second I’m having some problems with a story and i was wondering if you could help. So I’m trying to write a ravenclaw x hufflepuff wlw rs into my story but I’m not sure about the dynamic these characters should have. I love hp but I think you may have a more extensive knowledge on houses so I was wondering if you could help me with some headcanons for a r/h rs? Thanks either way

Oh my god, how cool!! I’m honored that you trust me with such an important question!!! :D

Now, the first thing I have to say is that of course, there’s not one kind of person in Ravenclaw and there’s not one kind of person in Hufflepuff!!! So, it’s hard to say generally what kind of dynamic they should have without knowing more about their individual personalities!!!

For example, some Ravenclaws in popular headcanons are really into their grades, but many others do notttt careeee about their schoolwork, because they just want to explore things on their own/do more advanced work/work they find more interesting. Which kind of Ravenclaw do you have? One who always wants perfect grades? One who gets perfect grades but doesn’t stress about it when they slip? One who just does the bare minimum at school because they’re really focused on other things? One who is both?

And for Hufflepuffs, we often say we’re the kind House and stuff, which (yayyyy Puff Pride!!!) we often are, but there are also very arrogant and selfish Hufflepuffs out there (and sometimes, even the kindest of us are arrogant and selfish people – they’re not always mutually exclusive o.O).

I guess what I’m saying is – there are lots of ways that your Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff couple can interact!!

I think my favorite headcanon that’s coming to mind right now about friendships or romances between the two Houses is where the Hufflepuff is constantly making sure that the Ravenclaw is hydrated and well-fed (whether because they’re up studying all night or because they’re exploring some new branch of knowledge outside the classroom and get so absorbed they don’t eat or drink or sleep). So, integrating that headcanon might be really cute, because yessss wlw Hufflepuff ladies taking care of their Ravenclaw beans!!!! ;) <3
