Why I love the internet

My brother and I are on our own this week which has been fine. Except a circuit just popped. In the middle of the night. No one to call. Brother is asleep. I'm on my own.

I knew where the breaker box was since my mom has ranted about how stupid it is to be outside, but I don't know how to reset a fuse (as evidence by me not really knowing what the actual word for it is.)

I went out into the rain, cold, dark, and wind and tried to figure it out. I didn't fix it. I was pretty sure I found the problem switch, but I couldn't get it to work. I thought it might be broken. I gave up.

But then I went back out there and googled the issue on my phone. I fixed it. I got the answer with minimum searching and I have my space heater back.

It feels good that I didn't have to be the girl that dragged someone out to do it for me, and that It's fixed with no real fuss. Plus, now I know how to do that!

All thanks to the internet.

To all those “Never Trump” Republicans...

To all those “Never Trump” Republicans, especially the “Never Trump” Republican women....I just want you to know: as a bleeding heart liberal, I have a ton of respect for you. 

Because as J.K. Rowling said, “It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.” 

You guys are doing that, and for that, you have my respect.
