So, my wi-fi chip installation is not happening today, because my dad in his wisdom - without discussing it with me or alerting me - has decided that I should probably dust the inside as well, which I know you should ideally do and I don't - and that that is best done with compressed air after taking my PC outside TO THE GARDEN and opening it up there, so the house doesn't get dusty. I did my cleaning around the area and went to ask him if we were going to do this 10-minute job (and what I thought would be hoovering the inside a little to get any excess dust), and he told me "well we can't now it's dark".

Also the '10 minute job' he spoke about very dismissively now involves not just attaching the chip but putting in an installation disc and setting it up, luckily I bought an external CD drive a while back (it's been sitting accidentally left open and gathering dust for months) because if I didn't have one I'd apparently be screwed, and he only thought to look up what was required and ask me today.

So now the installation people are coming tomorrow to put in the new broadband, which my current internet set-up isn't compatible with, and then at some point my dad will take my PC into the garden and 'fix' it, and at that point I'll find out if I have any internet access or a working PC to do non-internet things on.

All I want is to continue doing what I was already doing for a bit, technology go home.

Apologies for the very late start today. My phone lost its internet connection somehow. Its usual troubleshooting happens to be on my provider's website, which I couldn't reach due to no internet!

I had to wait for a company store to open. They gave me an 800 type of number where I could get help. That worked after only bit of trying different things and now I'm back.

So my internet is still down, but my phone at least has signal enough now to let me use tumblr. It wasn’t letting me earlier this afternoon, it only let me like an hour ago

Hopefully it’ll be back up before the morning of the 5th, so I’m not late to the new Kingdom update
