The Interval Timer is a sleek little app with a simple, easy-to-use interface that you can use to program interval-based workouts. The full name on the App Store is Interval Timer - Timing for HIIT Training, so you know they know their market.

It has two modes of workout setup, simple and complex. Complex lets you add more “cycles,” and the screen looks like this:

This is how it looked when I set it up according to my workout. There’s not much more to say here, it’s really simple and intuitive! When you start it, the warmup is in yellow (as indicated in the first picture), and when each cycle is up you can set a small alarm so you don’t even need to look at it. But if you like looking at your phone, it has handy indicators, like a red screen for “High interval” time

a green screen for “low interval” time

and a blue screen for cool down time.
