Threw in a little recovery run tonight after training to give my legs a bit of a stretch.
So I got my first stitch fix today and I really liked most of the clothes that were in it. I also shaved two minutes off my mile walk today and got it done before the three different thunder storms came through.
Post workout selfie! ✨
🏃🏻♀️ Trying the Couch to 5K app to sort of guide me into running 3.2 miles nonstop. I’ve been eating like crap this week but I’m getting better at catching myself and refocusing. Example; I used to eat fast food every day 3x/day for months and gained 50 pounds. NOW if I catch myself eating fast food for more than 2 days straight I redirect myself back to my goals and try harder. It’s rough when I want to binge eat but I know I need to practice healthy habits. I’m not perfect by any means. I struggle to lose 10 pounds in 2 months, so I’m definitely doing this whole weight loss thing SLOWLY. I have my good days where I eat healthy and walk 5 miles a day and then I have my binge days where I eat a whole pizza and watch a season of criminal minds in my bed. I’m learning WITH you guys and I don’t always post my struggle workouts so I thought I would today. I love posting the workouts that burn thousands of calories and I feel great but not every workout is like that. This run took me 30 minutes for 2 miles. 🏃🏻♀️ 🌫🌧 also nice bit; it was sprinkling the whole time and that felt really good and it smelled awesome outside 🌧🌫 📊Ooh ooh also would like to mention I don’t like how the C25K app doesn’t really track my pace or calories, so I am using the Under Armour running and walking apps simultaneously to track everything I want to be tracked. They both ran in the background of my iPhone 6 with no probs! 📊

Yeet yeet boyz, a 10k AND average mile pace PR today?? God, it must be Christmas! Today was slow and boring because a friend blew me off (again), and i had woken up hella early to see her. I stayed in the house, bored out of my mind, waiting for her to text back but she never did. So i went for a run that ended up being just a really solid run. I got a half mile in and thought “wow, running feel so right, like it’s something i am meant to do.” I have not run any faster than a nine minute mile in weeks, so pounding out an 8:35 average (for a whole six miles nonetheless!!) was so refreshing. I felt so fast and free and strong. I am so grateful that my body can do what it does. I am so thankful i have the privilege of an able body to let me run everyday. Running has shown me more than anything what incredible things can happen if i just take care of myself 🎉🦅🏃🏼
C25K plus an extra walk at the end. It was hot but I survived. Also, new workout clothes motivate me.
Speedy recovery run tonight
