The Inuits love footbal , not me though... The first time when i picked a ball , I found that I have no talent at it . I accept that the game it's really special. Greenland , Nuuk , 2022 .

Les inuits, richesses des proies aquatiques, ont développé de véritables plats traditionnels et des spécialités culinaires qu’on ne retrouve nulle part ailleurs.

Parmi ces plats de traditions, on trouve le misirak, du gras de mammifère marin, généralement du phoque, mais ça peut aussi être du béluga, qu’on laisse fermenter pendant un certain temps ou encore le mattaq bout de peau de narval cru mangé à peine la bête dépecée, mais consommé également séché. Au Groenland, le plat national c’est la fameuse soupe faite à partir de viande de phoque bouillie avec des oignons et du riz appelée suaasat. Le igunaq, l’un des plats les plus estimés au pôle nord à bade de morse mais aussi encore de phoque

praying for wisdom and

guidance

purple turn the cheeks of the

inuits gliding on sleighs drawn

by their dogs across snow and

ice in very low temperatures

once arriving home welcomed

with drinks to quickly warm

them up whilst the dogs are

never forgotten

by some purple is seen as a

symbol of luxury and power

i am not particularly keen

on purple

but when dawn shows that

colour in wintertime

Harald Moltke (Dec. 14, 1871 - 1960) was a Danish painter and writer. He had trained at the Royal Academy in the early 1890s and shortly after began participating in various scientific expeditions to the Arctic regions. He painted a number of canvases in Greenland, including this one which exists in two versions - one from 1903, and this much later re-imagining of the same scene:
