I was bored at work and came up with a coded language/ writing system.I think it looks pretty neat.
I imagine this as a language almost embroidered into a course weave or threaded on a grid of pins; thus the importance of linking the letters to the top and bottom. Each letter takes up 1 column of 4 squares high, and is formed by threading diagonal or horizontal lines through the grid, their position and steepness determining their letter.
Horizontal lines are vowels, diagonal are consonants, vertical lines connect them together but serve no linguistic purpose.
If there is a consonant followed by a vowel, they can both be written in the same column.
