Next time I do this exercise I think I’m going to have to try on an empty stomach. I’m fast learning that I exercise better and more efficiently when I have little nourishment to begin with and my stomach is empty of most food. I believe digestion gets in the way of serious workout I can use that energy very quickly. I knew this exercise would be tough before I even tried it thanks to watching a video on @themonkeybargym. I also wanted to find the ideal rig that would allow me to sit under the bar just so I could seated 🪑 as in the video. Just behind me I improvised by making use of the cycle racks. What I wouldn’t know was how tough it would be for me given that I have a disability in my arms and wrists so can’t easily rotate them they could benefit the exercise. Im doing my best not to to strain my left arm and shoulder although to completely honest to do this is near on impossible. However Im having to focus more on my lower body or core and just throwing in the occasional exercise that requires the use of both arms. This was a first for me climbing onto the branch and finding I felt comfortable with just my right leg being supported by a branch and my left leg being left in the air. I also didn’t feel the slightest bit strained.
