one thing that's always bothered me about batman's many continuities and remakes is how barbara gordon getting paralyzed and becoming oracle almost always gets retconned out for her to be batgirl again. like. do the writers think a woman in a wheelchair cant be strong? do they think she would be better as a sidekick? do they think a woman getting paralyzed and becoming one of dc's smartest characters to help her family after the fact is a bad thing?
