On this, the day when people think about Ireland, have you considered playing a tabletop game deeply inspired by Irish art and history? It's educational (mildly) as well as entertaining!
A narrative worldbuilding game for 1-4 players
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Fadó, an RPG set in ancient Ireland (and featuring the saint himself)!
Fadó: Chapter One is available now for PC at https://store.steampowered.com/app/1148200/Fad_Chapter_One/
Happy Lúnasa!
Just an update:
Fadó is currently going through its last few playtests, and is almost ready to go out into the world! We'll have a lot more on that very soon, so keep an eye out.
In the meantime, have a look at this completely original and fantastical world map. Wow. Also, check out our Facebook!
Fadó - an old-school indie RPG, rooted in Irish myth!
Great news: our pre-release Steam page is now live, and Chapter One will be releasing in just a couple of weeks! Make sure to add Fadó to your Steam wishlist so you can be notified when it goes up.
It's been a lot of work to get this far, but I really like what Fadó has turned into! I'm so so excited about getting it out into the world, and really hope you'll all enjoy it. As always, thanks so much for all your support!

Some lunantishees (one of many, many names for the fairies that inhabit trees) in Fadó! Kind of stick-insect-y and covered in little clootie ribbons. Also one time back in 2017, Kerry TD Danny Healy-Rae blamed them for the roads being broken and that was pretty good.
Ancient Irish mythology and modern video games might not seem like a perfect fit, but tied by modes of storytelling and a flair for the dramatic, they make for perfect allies.
Fantastic write-up on Fadó from RTÉ Lifestyle!
