Growth takes place when you put yourself in unfamiliar grounds. • I have taught at @iris.hkg six times and a number of yoga festivals in the past but when @charlztrevor asked me a few months back if I knew someone who could help him organise this festival, I was like - maybe I could give it a try! Thank you for trusting me. • Tonight when I finished @chaukeiyoga class - the last yoga class of the yoga festival, i saw the smiling faces of the guests, a deep sense of great joy when she played the song Imagine. It suddenly dawned on me that - wow this is why I became a yoga teacher, this is why we created a space where people can share their passion and joy, to put a smile on other people. Then I saw a message from @reebiesw - I just burst into tears. I am truly truly grateful. • Through working as a programme director with @melaniejade33 , I have grown so much. Through working with people and learning to listen to them, I have learned to work as a team, to share what I know. Don’t get me wrong, I still make lots of mistakes - and I’d like to think I’m learning from them. And I cannot ask for better colleagues from @melaniejade33 @charlztrevor and every member at @hybridgroupasia. • Rain or shine - either of which we will complain. The weather of the last two days have been a rollercoaster. Classes were cancelled, teachers get disappointed. But I think as a yoga teacher, we just have to accept it and be grateful that we are in this beautiful city sharing yoga and wellness with everyone. Because there’s always the next one. • Many people have given me really positive feedback to the music of my class today. I cannot thank @munghkg and @heidiliiicious enough for their hard work, passion in making this class such a memorable and special moment for everyone. And thank you @adamhawkshaw for being my rock and always pushing my envelope. • Growth happens when we breathe, work together, help each other shine, and be with the process. • Thank you everyone for being part of this journey.
