I woke up and everything hurts

It was a nice ceremony. Fun reception too. I didn't dance. Last time I tried at a wedding, it wound up on Facebook without my say-so and that wasn't too fun.

Ducked out early to chat with my girlfriend. Music's still going, but I thought I'd make myself scarce before some weird, drunk family member either asks me to dance or starts giving me more unsolicited life advice. Good people, but I need that cushion of space.

Besides, not my crowd anyway. Folks I've never seen before and likely won't meet again. They all go way back, so I'm the outlier in this equation. Let them party. They deserve it.

For me, it's a good night's sleep, followed by a four hour car ride back to the cities. I have a no doubt grumpy kitty awaiting me and a hospital to keep safe.
