My main takeaway from episode 18: Uchiyama Kouki really needs to stop playing hoodie-wearing grooming victims yearning for freedom, who ultimately sacrifice themselves for their friends – it’s really messing me up.

Wooohooo my power is back after Hurricane Irma. I’ve been cut off from the world all day. What’s up?
DARVEY S07E06 ending scene feels: a summary
DONNA: “It’s the key to your apartment.”
(No Donna, why are you returning that? you’re probably gonna live together soon anyway so stop that)
DONNA: “I didn’t know about you and Paula, Harvey. And I kept it from you, and I don’t wanna keep it from you because I’m happy for you.”
HARVEY: “Donna-”
DONNA: “I said I wanted more, and I got what I wanted.”
DONNA: “But when you told me about the two of you, for a second there -”
HARVEY: “I get it.”
DONNA: “You do?”
HARVEY: “I remember how I felt when I found out about you and Stephen Huntley. And I told you before, it bothered me.”
“But it doesn’t mean that -”
DONNA: “Exactly.”
(No, wait! It doesn’t mean WHAT??? No! Go finish that sentence, Harvey!)
DONNA: “I really am happy for you Harvey.”
(Are you, Donna? Are you really?)
HARVEY: “Thanks, Donna.” (Oh come on, you believe her?)
(Well you certainly don’t look happy for yourself, Harvey.)
(I mean look at that face. Is that the face of someone in a happy relationship with his girlfriend/ex-therapist?)
(My poor darling Donna. Why did you lie? That is not the face of someone who’s happy for the person she loves.)
(Well, look at that. What a beautiful shot of my babies in their respective offices right after their missed chance of confronting their love for each other.)
(OMG HARVEY STOP LOOKING TOWARDS HER OFFICE AND START DOING SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR FEELINGS FOR EACH OTHER)
Oh well. At least we know that Mark Meadows is gonna push them to address this elephant in the room in the next episodes. DARVEY IS ALIVE
But I was so much happier with the dentist I saw today, and would much rather see her in the future if she’s not mostly working in the sedation clinic. Anything else that I need that for? Hope I can get her to do it.
She actually talked and listened to me like I was a normal human being!
I was talking some to Mr. C before he went to bed a little while ago, and he said that the first one I saw there kept talking to him. She would ask me questions and look straight at him. Which he found offputting at the time, but hadn’t mentioned. I was stuck in the chair and couldn’t really tell where she was looking while she was talking, though it was obviously not at me: the person who relies a decent bit on lipreading. :-|
Also, that one didn’t put much useful info about what even needed done in the record, so the one today pretty much had to start from scratch with a checkup to figure out what she even needed to do to my mouth.
The other dentist also didn’t know or just didn’t tell me that, no, they will not do root canals there under the IV sedation. A number of reasons that is apparently not a great idea, without heavier anesthesia at a hospital clinic. So, that’s why I ended up getting it pulled after all. :-|
I wasn’t even sure if/when they were planning to do those couple of fillings on the big quickly developing cavities that were causing trouble, the communication was bad enough before. (And it turns out that one thing is less of a problem than I thought, and it has actually stopped hurting with the abscessed tooth below it gone! *fingers crossed*)
But, those fillings got done today too, and I was glad. That should hopefully be everything that was actively causing pain taken care of now. It was apparently only about an hour from the time they started the IV to when we got in the cab home, too.
When she was doing the exam to see what work even needed done, she commented on the nasty gum swelling around Horrible Tooth. And while I was still pretty out of it and don’t remember in the recovery room, she asked him if they had given me anything for the infection when we were there before. And made a face at the 5-day course. (I don’t think he mentioned that I had to argue to get that, but yeah.) It did calm down a little, but apparently the abscess was a real mess when she got in there.
Extra glad I don’t remember getting that hot tooth dealt with, from what he said about her reaction.
But, glad to finally get that taken care of. Even if it does mean a gap in the molars, and probably a bridge later.
And I am even less keen now on the idea of ever dealing with that first dentist again.
