god you are really the only person who gets it and i can turn to for Shikanaru cause you GET IT, GOD im so happy to see your art cause they are the only thing (besides like several other things) that was keeping me watching this show i just loved them so much.

Can we have some headcanons about Naruto and Shikamaru's relationship? i dont care what they are i just wanna see some i love you <3

Anon, you made my day. Like, this make me SOOOOO HAPPY!!! I love Shikanaru so much and I want to do a lot of stuff for them and and and yeah, knowing someone loves my works of them sniff

I already shared some of my headcanons a while ago! And here some:

In the Shippueden era, they like to carry each other from time to time. And when they are more older, Shikamaru is a bit more thin than Naruto, so Naruto will be the one to carry Shikamaru most of the time. Boy is strong JSJSJS

They pass time with each other just doing whatever they want, mostly in silence: Shika reads a book and Naruto makes a scrapbook. (Yeah I see Naruto doing some creative stuff)

When Naruto goes on a trip with Jiraiya, he occasionally plays with shadows, making shapes with his hands. It's a way of keeping Shikamaru by his side.

Autumn is their favourite season.

When they start living together, Konohamaru, sometimes accompanied by Mirai, will visit them mainly to tease the couple a little, but also to spend time with them (especially with his brother Naru).

Sometimes Naruto would start asking Shikamaru random questions, and that would lead to deeper conversations.

There will be times when they talk about how they feel, something they promised themselves they would do from time to time. Because of everything that happens around them, they feel that this would be the best thing to do often. Although it is difficult for Shikamaru to deal with emotions. He tries his best.

In the Genin era, most of their dates were at Naruto's favourite ramen stand and also cloudwatching for Shikamaru.

They have their special place to watch the clouds. Naruto knows that if he can't find Shikamaru anywhere else, he's probably there.

They like to tease the other. Is natural for them.
