Severus hated mistletoe. He stared at it for some time, wondering if the plant deserved the Reducto he so wanted to unleash upon it. Deciding against the waste of magic, he turned to walk away — only to freeze in his steps when the person he’d waited all day to see said, in tones of fond amusement — “Hello, Severus. Look. Mistletoe.”

Life update.

On Thursday (this Thursday) I will be doing a themed comedy show about fandoms, hobbies and obsessions. @smilingformoney will be visiting me in my town, and she’ll be coming with me to the show. After chatting with her I’ve changed the trajectory of my set plan. Have a guess at what the theme of my jokes will be.

Yep, you guessed it. Snape.

So obviously, I’m pumped. If anyone has ideas for jokes, particularly one liners, please DM me or comment. Also, I’m looking for things to say specifically about the Snapedom. If you give me a joke I’ll just say “someone from the Snape fandom gave me this joke.” Your privacy is safe with me.

Another update: attempted relationship with best friend failed. We’re back to being friends. Instead, I’m seeing a guy who is long, lanky, dark and mysterious. Sound familiar? Yeah, I have a type.

I’ll share clips of the comedy set (perhaps) when it’s done. It’s gonna be caliente.

I have been in the land of Anxiety, (I’ve been doing a lot of wedding photography recently and getting my deliverables to clients on time has been a crunch to say the least) of which I am the sovereign ruler. However I am coming out of it gradually.

Ish! If you were to be an Unspeakable, what would you specialize in? What would Snape?

Hi Echo!

I’ve got two exams left to go before I can finally go on break. Your ask was a lovely surprise!

For those of you who aren’t too familiar with the Unspeakables — an Unspeakable is a witch or wizard who works in the Department of Mysteries on Level Nine of the Ministry of Magic. The department works on top secret research into some of the biggest mysteries of life: death, time, space, thought and love.

Unspeakables are kind of scientists that study the things that make magic work, as well. Unspeakables have to maintain confidentiality about their work, and they can’t really talk about it, and rarely talk in general, hence the name of their job. Someone who works in the DoM will be referred to as “Unspeakable [Last Name].”

I think I’d specialize in the study of time, in the Time Room. I’d work with time turners. I’d stay the hell away from the brains in the Brain Room (because Ron). Also the Love Chamber interests me (study of love). But I’d stay away from the Hall of Prophecy because we all know how that worked out

Snape would probably work either in the Death Chamber (because he’s killed before) or the Brain Room (because he’s a skilled Legilimens and Occlumens). Or if we want to be ironic, he could work in the Hall of Prophecy (overhearing Trelawney’s prophecy all those years ago made him curious about this branch of magic) or the Love Chamber (the nature of his old feelings for Lily and the power that stopped Voldemort makes him want to find out more).

Anyway that’s my answer! What about you?
